Absolute gem of a place in the beautiful valley of
In general: We were welcome when we arrived by Shane who offered us tea and told us all the local points of interest. The house was spotless and the en suite room was clean airy with stunning view of the river. Breakfast was outstanding with delicious home made jams and marmalade made by Catriona’s mum. We were impressed by the warm hospitality and the mouth watering cakes left every day in our room. Shane was the perfect host. I would highly recommend Ashton House and would give it 20 out of 10. Thank you Shane and family for such warm welcome. Location and surroundings: The beautiful valley of Avoca. Glendalough. Powerscourt Waterfall. Service: Excellent. Room: Clean airy with stunning views.
